  • Michael C. Perehinec, Jr

    Attorney

As a proud Member-Owner of the firm, Michael spent the last 12+ years championing the rights of landlords with the tenacity of someone who’s negotiated one too many lease disputes before their morning coffee. Michael's legal journey began at Saint Vincent College, where he majored in academics but minored in bocce — yes, he was part of the intramural championship-winning team, and no, he won’t stop talking about it. Michael went on to earn his law degree from Ohio Northern University in 2011, trading bocce balls for case law and never looking back.

When Michael is not navigating property law, you can find him wrangling his three dogs (who think they own the house) or volunteering with the Special Olympics — a cause close to his heart and a reminder that advocacy extends far beyond the courtroom. Michael believes in clear communication, practical solutions, and the occasional well-timed pun to keep things interesting.

Clients appreciate Michael's straightforward approach, deep industry knowledge, and ability to make even the most complex legal issues feel manageable. Whether it’s drafting ironclad leases or resolving tenant disputes, Michael brings a mix of experience, empathy, and just enough humor to make the process less daunting.

Landlords deserve a fierce advocate who knows the law, loves the work, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves — or roll a bocce ball — to get results.

  • Gina M. Middleton

    Attorney

Gina is a Member-Owner of PMV Legal Group, PLLC, serving clients primarily in the Broome, Chenango, and Cortland County areas. Her practice focuses on public law and landlord-tenant matters. Gina regularly advises municipalities, school districts, and housing authorities on issues such as the Freedom of Information Law, Open Meetings Law, State Environmental Quality Review Act, and code enforcement, and assists landlords with evictions, lease drafting, and compliance with HUD, local, and state housing regulations.

A magna cum laude graduate of the University at Buffalo School of Law, Gina earned honors including the Order of the Coif and the Robert J. Connelly Trial Technique Award. A former teacher, she also holds a Master’s in Literacy Education and a B.A. in English from SUNY Geneseo.

Beyond her legal work, Gina is active in the New York State and Broome County Bar Associations, serving as Treasurer to the local Broome County Bar Association, and is an active volunteer board member for Gigi’s Playhouse Southern Tier and Metro Interfaith Housing Management Corp. She additionally volunteers her time coaching local high school mock trial and judging at both the high school and college levels when given the opportunity.

When she’s not in the courtroom or volunteering, Gina enjoys golfing poorly (she enjoys the golfing and wishes it were less poorly), a good book, and spending time with her husband and extensive fur family. Her hobbies and community involvement highlight her approachable nature and dedication to making a positive impact both professionally and personally.

  • Nathan D. VanWhy

    Attorney

Nathan is a Member-Owner of the firm who has spent the last 12+ years helping towns, villages and school districts across the Southern Tier of New York make sense of the rules, regulations, and real‑world challenges that come with local government. His path started at SUNY Fredonia, where he discovered he had a knack for problem‑solving and a genuine interest in how communities function. He went on to earn his law degree and has been practicing since 2011, building a career around clarity, fairness, and practical solutions.

Most days, Nathan is deep in the world of municipal and education law — FOIL requests, zoning questions, SEQRA reviews, property maintenance issues, labor problems, and the steady stream of operational questions that school districts face. He’s the person local officials call when they need someone who can break down complicated requirements into something that actually makes sense. He’s steady, thoughtful, and unflappable, even when the issues aren’t.

Outside the office, Nathan’s life is happily full. He and his wife are raising two funny and intelligent kids, along with a dog who has more love than brains and a cat with more brains than love. They keep him grounded, laughing, and constantly reminded that patience is a virtue.

Clients appreciate Nathan because he listens, he explains, and he genuinely cares about helping communities run smoothly. Regardless of the problem, he brings a calm, practical approach that makes the work feel manageable.

Nathan believes that good government starts with good guidance — and he shows up every day ready to provide it.
